We also recognize that our suppliers are more than just suppliers...they are the cornerstone to the success of CDS. History CDS was established in 1991 to distribute carpet cushion. Michael Caliri, who had 20 years of sales and marketing experience in New England, formed the company to fill a void left by the demise of several floor covering distributors in the area. CDS is considered to be the largest distributor of carpet cushion products in the Northeast. CDS is a customer response company, offering high quality products, dedicated to promptly serving our customer network. Customer Service is our first priority. Our Customer Service Personnel and Sales Team are always ready to accommodate your needs. CDS currently has five outside sales representatives along with the inside support team. Deliveries are made on our own fleet of trucks to all six New England states. Frequent positive feedback is received from customers on the helpful, courteous service from our company drivers. CDS covers an extensive customer base of over 1,500 retailers, concentrated in the New England area. CDS owns a newly renovated 60,000 square foot facility in Lincoln, RI, providing easy access to all major arteries in New England. CDS has experienced consistent growth and profitability every year since its founding in 1991, through a combination of focus on customer service, high quality products and competitive pricing. We currently stock over 9,000 rolls of all types of cushion in our 60,000 square foot warehouse. Recently, cushion sales have slowed due to the pressures on the Carpet industry and the Carpet Cushion market. Consequently, we have begun an aggressive program to diversify into other products and we will continue our expansion until we have ample product lines available to our dealers. We are no longer considered "New England's best kept secret". In the continuing quest to better serve our customers, CDS offers recycling pickup of scrap for our bonded cushion customers at a nominal charge. This offers them an environmental and cost savings opportunity.
